BODY LANGUAGE SIGNS THAT YOUR MARRIAGE IS SICK

-Oba Samuel

Breakups, separation and divorce cases are increasing rapidly because many are oblivious of these signs:

1.When you’re not walking as a team. “can two walk together except they agree”Amos 3:3

When couples are not walking together side-by-side or prefer to go in different direction or different time to thesame place is a sign of disconnection.

2.You always push your spouse away: If you’re fond of pushing the hand of your spouse away whenever he/she try to make body contacts, it connotes loss of affection as a result of unresolved issues.

3. Smirking at your spouse : If you’re fond of smiling irritatingly or in a silly way to your spouse, it’s a sign you’re mocking him/her. This will make your spouse get angry.

4.Avoidance: If you always try to avoid , ignore or stonewalled your spouse, it means something is fundamentally wrong.

5.Touching the neck: During conversation, if your spouse often touch the neck or throat, it’s a sign that he/she is trying to hide something from you because the throat is the gateway for words.

6.Constant criticism: No one like to be criticized. Constant criticism will make your spouse become defensive and this will lead to crazy cycle in marriage.

7.Lack of attention :If your spouse who used to have time for you  suddenly get too busy to spend time with you. Instead stay out late, or spend longer time on phone, online or TV. This calls for concern because time is a nonverbal communication of love.

8.HANDS ON YOUR HIPS: Putting your hands on your hips while talking to your spouse means you’re trying to control your spouse and demonstrating that you’re the boss. No spouse want to marry a boss. Being a boss will make your spouse rebel against you.

9.Communication breakdown: If you and your spouse rarely talk, keep malice, silent treatment  or often interrupts each other, this will destroy friendship ,brew anger and leads to constant fights.

10.No more closeness: If you observed that you’re not as close as you used to be physically to the extent that you can’t sit together in the sitting room or you’ve moved out of your matrimonial room to a separate room and you have even stopped praying together. This means togetherness has been eroded and your sex life destroyed .This is a red flag that needed to be addressed quickly before the worse happen because no marriage breaks suddenly, body language would have communicated it to you.

In conclusion, observation is key because you know your spouse more than anyone else. Study the body language of your spouse
